ITINERARY
DAY 01: TALE
On arrival at Tale, we will be met by our team
on a sand river below Tale Hill. After lunch
and a short afternoon rest, will walk up the
shark fin hill, Tale and across the vast plains
towards the Mathew and the Karisia Hills.
DAY
02: NANTODO
Wake up early and set off with brief stop for
refreshments. En route you can spot gerenuk, grants
gazelle and l Grevy’s zebra. Arrive at the
camp in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure.
Evening walk, hunting for the noisy Stone Partridges
and Verraux Eagles who both frequent the rock
faces of Nantodo.
DAY 03. NAMASAA
Wake up very early and set off by sun rise.
Walk up a long hill to an awesome pinnacle called
Ngai Suisui that has a dramatic 360 degrees
view of the area. Relax for an hour enjoying
some snacks with scenic view as our camels slowly
climb up the hills out of the valley. Walk down
to the river to a serene spot called Namasaa.
The landscape is spectacular and we will camp
under enormous Neutonia Trees, serenaded by
Pearl-Spotted Owlets.
DAY 04: NAGARATAT
Walk along and then up a rocky Lengatoi river
course. There are figs trees clinging to rocks
and klipspringers perched high on the rocks
above. Ascend from the valley on to rolling
country. From the camp we will be able to see
the locals bringing their livestock to drink.
Evening stroll watching colourful birds and
sundowners on a rock.
DAY
05: NALARAI
Walk up stream with opportunity of spotting greater
kudu, wild dog, waterbuck and bushbuck. Arrive
at the camp in time for lunch welcomed by our
team of Laikipia Masai and Samburu. In the evening
take a walk slowly along the river looking for
the elusive leopard.
DAY
06: NDADABO
A scend from the valley to a camp on the river
opposite Loisaba Wilderness. In the evening visit
a manyatta and enjoy a bit of Laikipia Masai hospitality.
DAY 07: DEPARTURE
Walk to the waiting vehicle and will be transferred
to Nanyuki airstrip for onward flight.
