SHABA NATIONAL RESERVE
Situated in a semi desert with rugged terrain, Shaba national reserve is home to Joy Adamson's Monument – pioneer of the famous Lion project. It is notable for its hot springs. It plays homage to the Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, and Gerenuk, only found in this part of Kenya. There are also herds of Elephants, plenty of Lions, Cheetah, Crocodile, hundreds of species of birds and other game.

MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE:
Masai Mara game reserve is widely considered to be Africa’s greatest wildlife reserve. Masai Mara comprises 200 sq miles of open rolling plains, woodlands and riverine forests and is the northern side of the expansive Serengeti plains. The Reserve is home to a breathtaking array of life. The vast grasslands are scattered with herds of Wildebeests, Zebra, Giraffe, Gazelle and Topi.

KIWAYU ISLAND:
Located on the Kenya mainland in the most remote Dodori National Reserve some 30 miles north of Lamu Island, in a breathtakingly beautiful bay opposite Kiwayu Island.

DAY 01: SHABA NATIONAL RESERVE
On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International you will be met by Earth Tours representative who will transfer you to Wilson Airport for your flight to Samburu on air Kenya which departs at 09.15am. On arrival you will be met by your driver / guide who will transfer you to your camp.

Joy’s Camp is built on the site of Joy Adamson’s tented home in Shaba National Reserve. The site was also home to Penny the leopard, the heroine of her last book. The camp overlooks a large natural spring where elephant and lion jostle for watering rights with herds of buffalo and the rare desert species of Beisa Oryx, reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s zebra. Each tent has breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, with its own private veranda - ideal for game viewing as well as relaxing, reading and soaking up the truly wild environs. After lunch you will enjoy an afternoon game drive. Thereafter return to the camp for shower and hot dinner. Overnight Joys Camp on Full Board

DAY 02: SHABA NATIONAL RESERVE
Today you will have the whole day to enjoy the activities at the Reserve: Shaba National Reserve neighbors Samburu Reserve. Shaba is smaller with a greater occurrence of riverine forests with acacia trees, doum palms and a dramatic landscape. Although Shaba is greener than Samburu, it offers a lower frequency of game spotting than Samburu of species such as giraffes, zebras and plains game. On arrival at the camp you will relax and enjoy the breath taking views that the camp has to offer. Overnight Joys Camp on Full Board
   
   
DAY 03: SHABA NATIONAL RESERVE

Saruni Mara  

DAY 04: MASAI MARA
Today after breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara on Air Kenya which departs at 08.30am. On arrival you will be met by your driver/guide who will transfer you to your lodge. With an en route game drive arrive the lodge. Rest of the morning spent at leisure. Mara game reserve is widely considered to be Africa’s greatest wildlife reserve. The Mara comprises of 200 sq miles of open rolling plains, woodlands and riverine forests. Contagious with the plains of the Serengeti, the Mara is home to a breath taking array of life. The vast grasslands are scattered with herds of Zebra, Giraffe, Gazelle and Topi. After lunch at around 3.30 pm enjoy an afternoon game drive where by you should get ready to spot the BIG FIVE. Overnight at Mara Saruni on Full Board

DAY05: MASAI MARA
Today you can enjoy an early morning game drive whereby you will get to see what the animals are having for breakfast. Later return to the lodge for breakfast. Rest of the day at leisure enjoying the activities the camp has to offer. Overnight at Mara Saruni on Full Board
 
 
DAY 06: MASAI MARA
Today you have the option of going on a game drive or simply relax and enjoy the camp facilities Overnight at Mara Saruni on Full Board
   
Kiwayu  
DAY 07: KIWAYU
Today after breakfast transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi which departs at 10.15am and arrives at 11.45am. You will then connect to the 1400hrs flight on Air Kenya to Lamu which arrives at 15.10pm. On arrival in Lamu you will be transferred to your camp. Rest of the evening spent at leisure. Overnight at Kiwayu Safari Village on Full Board

DAY 08: KIWAYU
Today you will have the day at leisure. Kiwayu is located on the Kenya mainland in the most remote Dodori National Reserve some 30 miles north of Lamu Island, in a breathtakingly beautiful bay opposite Kiwayu Island. Kiwayu Safari Village is a barefoot luxury retreat on a deserted stretch of white beach facing out over the Indian Ocean. Overnight Kiwayu Safari village on Full Board

DAY 10: DEPARTURE
Today you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi on Air Kenya which departs at 1540hrs and arrives into Wilson at 1735hrs
